I graduated from John Brown University in 2005 with a degree in English, and I’m now living in Dallas with my wonderful husband, Chad, and our weimaraner, Rufus. Working for TracyLocke (advertising) as a copyeditor.

I attend culinary school for Baking & Pastry Arts in New York, which is absolutely fabulous. I will be in Chicago this summer for my internship and will graduate next May.
Class of 99 and a lifer as well. Attended OU and currently work at St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. Expecting my first child this fall!

I just graduated from the University of Tulsa with my Masters in Education. I have been working in the TU Football Office for the past 4 years in recruiting, and I will begin my teaching career in the Fall. So excited! 🙂

I’ve been married to my wonderful husband Matthew for a little over 2 years and we have a beautiful baby girl who’s 7 months old. She was born on Sept. 28th 2007. Looking forward to have another one in a year or so.

Matthew works for BOk’s Retirement Sales Division, and I work in the ER at St. Francis part time.

I graduated from Oklahoma State in 2007 with a degree in vocal music education. I am the 6-12 head choir director in Robinson ISD, near Waco. I also direct a church choir at Florence United Methodist Church.
I have been married for one year now to Nils. He is the marching band director at the University of Mary-Hrdin Baylor.

My husband, Jeremy, and I have been married for a little over a year. We have 5 children combined; one together, two from his previous marriage, and two from my previous marriage.

Former Highsterpper class of 1999! Graduated from Oklahoma State with and Animal Science degree and Communication Disorders degree. I currently run a gourmet dog bakery and work as an Animal nutrition specialist for Nutro and I love it! I’m married to Billy Stewart (Union ’99 graduate) and we have a chocolate lab named Heisman. He is our practice child!
Former Highstepper- Class of 95. I have been dancing ever since I graduated from Union: Dance Captain on some cruise ships, international tours w/ Christian bands, Branson, and Vegas, etc. I have been teaching dance off and on for 13 years until this year. I hung up my shoes and now have a job at a production/advertising co. called Current C Creative. Always trying to be patient with God’s timing, and grateful for his grace. “Chiqutia Bananas…” (does anyone remember that)

Now attend Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, where I am majoring in Political Science with a double minor in French and Radio, TV, Film. I am so proud of all of the Highsteppers and their amazing accomplishments as Alumnea and current members.
OK – so I didn’t put in my year. Class of 97! WOOHOO! 🙂 You might remember our senior routine…it was a HOOP! Yeah, I know. Oh, and one of the ultimate Highstepper nerds!
Former Highstepper and Lifer, class of 1997. Since graduating from Oklahoma Baptist University, I have lived all over the country doing theatre. I am currently doing shows in North Carolina and am planning on going back to school for a second degree at UNC Wilmington in the fall. Never been married, no kids, but I do have the cutest dog in the world, a bichon frise named Fosse.

Now, I can officially say I’m a former Highstepper…weird. Captain and Lifer, class of 2008! I plan to major in biochemistry at the University of Arkansas and then go on to pharmacy school. Charlie’s Angels rule! Go Highsteppers!

This is hilarious! I’m now married. Graduated from OSU with a degree in Physiology and am in my 4th year of medical school becoming a, you guessed it, Pediatrician. Gee, my 18 year old self was a good goal setter. So happy to have been a part of the Highstepper program, not only as a dancer but as a coach for the previous 2 years. Yea Highsteppers.

Highstepper from ’90 to ’93. Union 1993, OU 1997, PhD in Cell Biology from IU in 2004.
Currently I’m living in San Diego where I’m a writer for the biotechnology industry, which means I translate the mumbo jumbo coming out of the scientists’ and MDs’ mouths into something the rest of the world can comprehend.
No kids, but I like it that way. No husband either….but I’m workin’ on it. And I get to see Nicole (Fischer) Lee a few times a year since she’s only one terrible drive through LA away from me. 🙂
Oh Heather Hall – I do remember Chiquita Bananas vaguely. I also remember grumpy tall girl tirades at 6am as a result of certain weird born to hand jive moves in a competition high kick routine.
Former Highstepper class of 1999. I have a 5 year old girl, Toni and I have a dance supply business and am lucky enough to supply dancewear to the Highsteppers now! I was a lifer as well…. and I still have the erge to dye a white streak underneath my hair sometimes.

Former Highstepper captain class of 1980 – back in the olden days. I remember when we first formed back in 1977. I believe our tryout routine was to the song I’m Your Boogey Man. We were such an oddity at that time, the band did not like to play for us and most of the time we used records for our music, what a nightmare! I currently live in NC and I am a practice administrator for a physician. I have not seen the Highsteppers perform since 1981. Although I am so proud of you all and all of your accomplishments! Keep up to good work!

Married my high school sweetheart Thomas Collins (c/o 99′) in 2003, graduated from OSU in 2005, and had a beautiful baby boy in March 2008. We live in Broken Arrow (Union district, keeping the tradtion alive).
I remember Kathy being picked for the original 20 girls that started the Union Highsteppers. I too, was one of those girls. I got to participate only for a year, then had to go overseas with my family. Being one of the first Native Anericans on the squad was a great honor. Fast forward to the present. I’ve had a career in nursing for the last 20 years and getting ready to be a grandmother for the first time. Go Highsteppers!

Lifer, long time officer, Capulet co-founder (yeah Spring!) and former coach, too. I greatly enjoyed all of my associations with the Highsteppers. I majored in Dance Mgmt at OCU and then got my MBA. Now, I raise $$ for Tulsa Ballet! I also serve on the OSDTDA board. I’ve been married to my hubby, Bryan, for a year and a half, and we have a darling, little Italian Greyhound named Tino.
Former Highstepper from the class of ’86! Graduated from SMU in ’90. I’m now living in St. Louis with my husband, two sons, two stepdaughters and a stepson! My step-daughter is on her school’s Pom squad, which is fun for me 🙂
Lifer, class of ’06!! I’m a junior at OU majoring in zoology to become a marine biologist! I just started dancing again and it makes me so happy! I miss all my girls and I will always love the Highsteppers!

I am now back in Tulsa at the OUHSC for a doctorate in physical therapy after going to OU in Norman for three years.

Lifer, class of 2007! I now attend the University of Tulsa, where I am in the Business school and also attend dance classes. Class of ’98 Co-captian! I graduated from Northeastern State University with my Early Childhood Education Degree and am currently teaching at Berryhill Public Schools. I have so many wonderful memories from the years spent as a Highstepper!
Highstepper from ’87 to ’89 and member of the 1989 National Championship winning team. Currently sponsor of the 7th grade Highsteppers. The best thing was when my daughter decided to join the Union dance program in 5th grade because, she said, “I want to be a Highstepper, just like you were.”

I attended OU in Norman for two years, but this semester I’m back in Tulsa to cut a few costs. I’m (now) majoring in Nursing, and plan to be a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
Now that I’m home I have more time for the fun stuff! I dance for the Tulsa 66ers basketball team and teach hip hop classes at The Pom Zone in Broken Arrow, both of which I absolutely love doing. Of course it’s not as great as it was being a Highstepper, but it’s a close second!

I was a Union Highstepper and officer from the class of ’92. I learned a lot of great lessons as a Highstepper that I have carried with me throughout my life! I have been married 22 years, have raised 3 amazing children, and am a school administrator now.
