The Union Highstepper program has been a part of Union High School for over 40 years.  The Highsteppers have a continued tradition, winning their 33rd State title in 2016.

They provide halftime entertainment at home football and basketball games as well as selected away games.  They also participate in pep rallies, kickoffs, offer dance clinics and tutoring at Union elementary and secondary schools, and participate in activities throughout the community.

NATIONAL & REGIONAL COMPETITIONS

The Union Varsity Highsteppers and Junior Highsteppers competed at the Crowd Pleasers North Dallas Regional Showcase in Independence, TX in February, 2020.  Varsity Highsteppers were awarded 1st place in Kick and Hip Hop, and 2nd in Jazz.  Junior Highsteppers placed 1st in Kick and Contemporary, and 2nd in Jazz.  The Varsity team then traveled to Orlando, FL and competed in the Contest of Champions National Competition at Walt Disney World in March, 2020 where they won 3rd Place for their Kick routine!

STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Union Highsteppers compete annually at the Pom and Dance State Championships sponsored by the Oklahoma State Dance Team Directors Association (OSDTDA). The Highsteppers have won State Championships for 33 years.
