LEGACY & TRADITION
The Union Highstepper program has been a part of Union High School for over 45 years. The Highsteppers have a continued tradition, winning their 34th State title in 2023.
They provide halftime entertainment at home football and basketball games as well as selected away games. They also participate in pep rallies, kickoffs, offer dance clinics and tutoring at Union elementary and secondary schools, and participate in activities throughout the community.
NATIONAL & REGIONAL COMPETITIONS
The Union Varsity Highsteppers competed at the Crowd Pleasers North Dallas Regional Showcase in Ft. Worth, TX in February, 2024. Varsity Highsteppers were awarded 1st place in Kick and Jazz, and officers were awarded Grand Champion Officer Group. The Varsity team then traveled to Orlando, FL and competed in the Contest of Champions National Competition at Walt Disney World in March, 2024 where they won 1st Place for their Kick routine!
