Lakin Shelton ~ Varsity Head Coach

Lakin Shelton, the Highstepper head coach, is headed into her 3rd year of coaching. She is a Highstepper alumni and former captain. After graduating from Union, she attended Kilgore College as a Rangerette. She is engaged to her high school sweetheart, and a licensed real estate agent with Chinowth & Cohen. 

Tyawna Lark ~ Varsity Assistant Coach

Assistant coach Tyawna Lark is a former Highstepper co-captain and Highstepper lifer of 10 years. She is in her first year of coaching after studying creative media production at the University of Oklahoma. She has aspirations to open a dance studio and continue studying to be a sports videographer.

Ashlee Mathis ~ Varsity Assistant Coach

Ashlee Mathis is in her 8th year with the team. Newly this year, Ashlee started a new job as Event Sales Manager of Tulsa Country Club. She is excited for a year filled with new experiences and the opportunity to continue coaching for an amazing program!

Jessica Chapman ~ Junior High Co-Coach

Jessica Chapman is in her 2nd year coaching the Junior High Highsteppers. She attended the University of Oklahoma where she received her degree in Elementary Education and is currently working on her Masters degree. She is a 3rd grade teacher at Union and is going into her 5th year teaching. 

Addyline Barragan Firor ~ Junior High Co-Coach

Addyline Barragan Firor is a Highstepper alum. It’s her first year coaching and she’s super excited for this year. She studied political science at TCC and has a baby girl on the way.
